Privacy policy

We use the details you send us only to answer you and to do the work you ask for. We keep no mailing list and show no advertising, we never sell your data or share it for marketing, and visit statistics run only if you accept them. The details follow.

Who is responsible

KLAUSENWORKS S.R.L. (CUI 55622663, Trade Register J2026055476001), Str. Traian Vuia 72, parter, ap. 1, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, is responsible for the personal data described on this page (the “controller” under the GDPR). For any question about your data, write to [email protected].

What we collect and why

When you contact us through the contact form, by email, on WhatsApp or by phone: your name, phone number, your email address if you give it, and what you tell us about your watch or project. We use this only to answer you and, if you bring us work, to carry it out. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before a contract, and the contract itself (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
Security. Our host, Cloudflare, protects the site and the contact form against automated abuse: bot protection on every page, and Cloudflare Turnstile on the form. This uses your IP address and technical details of your browser. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site and our inbox free of abuse (art. 6(1)(f)).
Traffic statistics. Cloudflare counts requests to the site on its own servers, for example which pages are visited and from which countries. Nothing is placed in or read from your browser for this. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used (art. 6(1)(f)).
Visit statistics, only if you accept them. If you accept statistics in the consent box, Google Analytics, loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, records how the site is used: pages viewed, how you arrived, your approximate location and type of device, and whether you got in touch. Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

We do not send newsletters, keep a mailing list, advertise, build profiles or make automated decisions about you.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use no advertising cookies. These items may be stored in your browser; only the Google Analytics cookies at the end need your consent:

cf_clearance, a security cookie set by Cloudflare’s bot protection once your browser passes its check, so it is not checked again on every page. It holds only that proof and lasts up to a year.
klw-theme, saved in your browser’s local storage only if you choose a colour theme (dusk, racing green or light), so the next page opens the same way. It never leaves your device.
zaraz-consent, which remembers your choice in the consent box for a year, so it does not ask again on every page.
cf_zaraz_client, a technical cookie Cloudflare Zaraz sets on the first visit. It stays empty and holds nothing about you.
cfz_google-analytics_v4 and cfzs_google-analytics_v4, set by Cloudflare Zaraz for Google Analytics only if you accept statistics, so a returning visit can be recognised. The first lasts up to a year, the second until you close the browser. If you withdraw consent, the statistics stop.

Who processes the data for us

These providers process personal data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, security, traffic statistics and the consent box (Cloudflare Zaraz).
Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.): delivers the contact-form message to our inbox.
Google: our email (Google Workspace) and, only with your consent, visit statistics (Google Analytics).

If you write to us on WhatsApp, the app itself is covered by WhatsApp’s privacy policy.

Transfers outside the EU

These providers are based in the United States, so some data may be processed there. The transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Enquiries that don’t lead to work: deleted within 12 months of our last exchange.
Work you bring us: the job record is kept for as long as the job and its written warranty run.
Invoices and accounting records: kept for as long as Romanian accounting law requires.
Our providers’ copies: Resend keeps the delivered message for 30 days; Google Analytics keeps visit statistics for 14 months; Cloudflare keeps its security and traffic data under its own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent to statistics at any time under “Cookie settings”; this does not affect what was collected before. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within one month.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
